I don't have much to say this morning, so I thought I'd put up a stunning photo taken by the Hubble telescope - it turned 20 last week, you know.
This image was released by Nasa to celebrate the Hubble's 20th birthday. It shows a small portion of one of the largest star-birth regions in the galaxy, the Carina Nebula. The picture is reminiscent of Hubble's classic image of the Eagle Nebula dubbed the 'Pillars of Creation'. Seen here is the top of a three-light-year-tall pillar of gas and the dust that is being eaten away by the brilliant light from nearby bright stars. From the Daily Mail
